The flowers that bloom in the spring….

Yellow gorse flowers along the SWCP in spring

I returned from my first walk along the South West Coast Path one May, resolved to always make time for a long walk in late spring every year, when the spring wild flowers are at their spectacular best. Like most resolutions, I haven’t always kept to it, but it’s one I hate to break.

So here’s a few of the wild flowers I saw along the coast path in spring 2021.

Tip: Best time to walk the coast path is April, May, and early June. It’s still out of season, so there are less people and prices are lower. And there are lots of flowers!
